Bookkeeper/Service Charge Supervisor - Wimborne

Job Description:

To provide a bookkeeping service for a portfolio of Clients within our Service Charge function, liaising with Savills’ property managers to meet their varying requirements and feeding into formal accounts production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process all aspects of the book keeping requirements for a portfolio of service charges. This will include raising and sending demands, maintaining up-to-date occupant details, bank reconciliations, processing supplier payments and annual budget reporting with service charge reconciliation.
  • Liaise with Savills and client property managers as required, dealing with any queries, maintaining a polite and professional manner at all times.
  • Analysing client structures and assisting in the development of a cohesive financial reporting framework.
  • In addition to the tasks described above, you may be required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.

Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Some financial background, either by experience or academic
  • Experience in property/ service charge work a bonus
  • Attention to detail and highly numerate
  • Able to take a systems based approach and apply practical solutions to proportional cost allocation
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • “Can Do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and confidence in presentation
  • Able to work to deadlines and to be adaptable to change
  • Enthusiasm to provide the highest quality service to clients at all times
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexibly, providing cover for colleagues when required
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel to perform required tasks.  Access database also in daily use.
