Head of Lettings - Northcote Road

Job Description:

This Head of Department role involves being responsible for driving forward the Lettings business and for overseeing and ensuring the Lettings’ staff perform to the required Savills standard whilst meeting their targets.

The position involves the promotion and marketing of the department with a view to increasing annual turnover and the profit margin year on year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ongoing expansion of the Department and maintain the company’s standing as a market leader
  • Build and expand Savills Lettings’ business and to be aware of future opportunities that will enable the office to continue to grow
  • Attend valuations for new instructions
  • Be responsible for developing and evolving the Business Plans for Lettings
  • Represent the office at HODs meetings
  • Promote and maintain internal relations with the office’s Residential HOD
  • Promote and maintain internal relations with all other office departments
  • Meet with each Lettings staff member within the office and to carry out monthly Business Review meetings
  • Carry out coaching as appropriate for all lettings staff within the office
  • Keep abreast of relevant Lettings’ legislation and regulations, national issues and Savills’ research
  • Attend appropriate training
  • Comply with the various national bodies ‘Codes of Conduct’ inc ARLA
  • Produce and regularly update relevant reports recording the performance of the department
  • Deal effectively and efficiently with any external complaints against the Lettings Department using the complaints procedure
  • Conduct Lettings Staff annual appraisals
  • Arrange and monitor all Lettings Staff training and development programmes
  • Deal with any staff grievance issues raised within the Department
  • Keep abreast of all relevant Savills policies that may effect the Department and the office as a whole
  • Meet with and liaise where necessary with the Head of Office
  • Maintain adequate sickness records
  • Make sure that Lettings staff are aware of Health and Safety issues relevant to their office
  • To be aware of all fire procedures for the office and to ensure that staff are kept up to date with current office procedures for emergency evacuations
